Price winner
Janni Olesen received the Danish Bank’s debutant price (Danske Banks debutantpris) in 2008 for the novel Something you should know and is participating in the European Debutant Festival along with 18 other debuting EU authors. Furthermore she is along with the other debutants going on an excursion to the historical town Pécs, which will be the EU culture capital of 2010. It is the intention that she afterwards will write an essay on the town. Janni Olesen is also participating in Scandinavian Days, a project started by the Scandinavian department at the Humanistic University in Budapest.  
 
 
Romer in Hungarian
Knud Romer’s book He who Blinks is Afraid of Death has been translated into Hungarian by Agnes Bogdan and is being published and presented by Polar publishing house in connection with the Book Festival. Knud Romer is commenting on his book during the presentation and is also invited to the Goethe Institute in connection with their literature café for German literature.
